Troumouse on e-bikes

Last year when Richard came to stay we rode the Tourmalet on e-bikes, so this year we switched to the Cirque de Troumouse. A beautiful day, fairly quiet once we left the Gavarnie road at Gèdre. We stopped at Soas for coffee then rode up to the cirque, appreciating the fact that the final, very steep and twisting section is now car-free.

On the way down we stopped again at the charming Soas café/restaurant for a delicious mushroom omelette. Back in Luz still with plenty of juice left in the batteries, and we finished off with home-prepared steak tartare – our best ever – and chips from the local take-away.

good pics! Returning the edit-service; typo -*_the f_*inal

you should have stood level with R when u did that pic tho! Because he is a bit bigger but ALSO stood a bit uphill and closer to camera, so he looks enormous!

BTW – I still think u should have one of your amazing bird pics for your banner instead of the gloomy grey arty-thing!!! How about that amazing blue one u have in yr bathroom here? If there isn’t enough sky to get bird at side of title, send to me and I’ll add a bit of sky so u can arrange it nicely!

PS storm something or other has arrived so walk with R postponed (so u won’t see us on Strava yet — and when u do, we will be nicely relocated on catsback or somewhere) — but the real storm  must be elsewhere as it is warm, very wet, but little wind. Just got in from watering yr but’nut and it was quite pleasant.

PS again – I don’t know where this email is headed but its not intended to appear as a comment.
